Day n Night

 

The stars are twinkling

The moon is crescent

I must sleep

But the weather is too pleasant

 



My eyes wide open

I wanna dream

Of great fantasies and worlds

Full of ice - cream

 

Ideas flowing like a river

But my body needs rest

I know what I should do

Cuddle and sleep in my cosy nest

 

I dream of being beautiful

I dream of being pretty

I dream of being sweet

I dream myself signing a peace treaty

 

Wish my eyes droop down

My heart beats slow down

I lie down

And go off to sleep

 

Wake up the next day

With a positive attitude

Look the opportunities at bay

For life is just as long as a day
